David Morrell's 1972 novel First Blood was adapted into the 1982 film of same name, which ended up spawning an entire media franchise around Rambo. Rambo: First Blood Part II is the author's novelization of the film's sequel. The film's screenplay was made by Sylvester Stallone and James Cameron, and its story by Kevin Jarre.
